Keith Brown, MSP for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane, is encouraging local people to add their voice to the two public consultations that will help shape the future of bus services and smart ticketing in Scotland.

The two consultations ‘Local Bus Services in Scotland – Improving the Framework for Delivery’ and ‘The Future of Smart Ticketing in Scotland’ will run for 12 weeks until 5 December.

Mr Brown is also hosting a bus summit later this month to discuss the overall plan for public transport in Clackmannanshire.  This meeting will bring together key local stakeholders who will be joined by the Minister for Transport and the Islands, Humza Yousaf MSP.

Keith Brown MSP said: “Hundreds of people use buses every day in communities throughout Clackmannanshire and I hope local people will participate in these consultations and have their say on the future of bus services and smart ticketing in Scotland.

“Later this month I am hosting the latest in my series of Bus Summits which brings together key stakeholders in the community to discuss the future of local bus services and I am delighted that we will be joined on this occasion with Humza Yousaf MSP, the Minister for Transport and the Islands.”
