Keith with Adam Paterson at the Scottish Martial Arts CentreLocal MSP, Keith Brown, is asking people across Clackmannanshire to do their bit to back Small Business Saturday this weekend (3rd December) by choosing, where possible, to support local businesses and shops.

To show his support for local small businesses, Keith paid a visit to the Scottish Martial Arts Centre, based at Dumyat Business Park in Tullibody and Bella Vita Beauty in Alloa Town Centre.

Commenting Keith said: “Small Businesses Saturday is designed to celebrate and support the country's small business community, encouraging the public to reach out and try the great products and services their local small firms can supply.

Keith with Anna Key at Bella Vita Beauty“Clackmannanshire has some fantastic small businesses which are the backbone of our local economy and I would encourage people to support them in the run up to Christmas and beyond.

“The SNP government doing everything it can to support small businesses. That’s why the Scottish Government has reduced or removed business rates for around 750 businesses across Clackmannanshire through the Small Business Bonus Scheme and has given local authorities the power to further reduce business rate bills where they think it would be beneficial to the local area.
